I am happy to announce that my first bibimbap class was a success. Four lovely ladies cooked bibimbap, soy bean sprout soup and cucumber salad (aka, oyi muchim). My aim for the class was to make sure everyone learnt different Korean ingredients, enjoyed the dishes they cooked and most of all have fun.
Teaching a hands on class is always great, because you see different cooking style of each participant. One of the students was very particular in slicing the cucumber for her salad – paper thin!!
Everyone had their chance to add their own little touch to each of the dishes and at the end we licked the bowls clean! I served up my homemade kimchi and kkaduki as well for everyone to try and it was well received!
Group photo time… say “kimchi!”
Hey Nicky, I had the bibimbap leftovers yesterday – still just as yummy. That chili sauce was amazing. Will definitely make it again!
Hi Christina, Fantastic to hear! Sally was making bibimbap for Ming and Christina last night so look forward to find out their feedback. Thank you so much for joining the class and hope to see you soon to check out your little plot!! ^_^
60 ladies will be looking forward to attend your bibimbap + dduoboki class come 6Nov. Circular will be e-blasted tomorrow 18Oct (‘,) cheers!!
I am really looking forward to it!!
Hi,
I’m interested in making bibimbap myself at home. Do you mind telling me how you made the bibimbap sauce/where you bought the sauce? You can e-mail me! Thanks a lot! 🙂
Hi there, you need Korean chilli paste, some garlic, sesame oil, rice wine and some sugar. Or you can buy pre-made sauce from any of the Korean grocery store! Let me know how you go! ^_^
